Salesgirl attacked and raped in Delta state

What appears to be serial assault on salesgirls, is allegedly unfolding in Ughelli, Delta state

According to reports, a third salesgirl has been raped and beaten almost to the point of death in the last five days, in Ughelli, Delta state.

The latest victim identified as Charity who worked as a salesgirl in a fish feed shop in Ekuigbo community, was raped and attacked with a mallet yesterday, June 27.

Another salesgirl was reportedly raped and killed in Afiesere community, Ughelli. The wife of a popular hotelier was also reportedly attacked and raped inside her shop along Ekerejebor road, Ughelli.

According to an eyewitness who spoke with a Vanguard reporter, Charity had been found naked by a shop owner who lives in her building and was rushed to the Ughelli central hospital where they are currently battling to save her life.

Here’s what the eyewitness said:

“The victim was raped. Her assailants used a mallet they left behind in the shop to smash her head and eyes.”

The assailant is still on the loose at the time of this report, and no one has been arrested in connection to this situation.
