Liverpool complete signing of Southampton star

Liverpool have signed Southampton forward Saido Mane

The striker cum winger penned a long term contract at Melwood

Mane joins new signings Loris Karius, Joel Matip, Marko Grujic

The mass exodus from Southampton has continued with star striker Saido Mane having completed a move to Europa league finalist Liverpool.

The Saints have already seen the likes of manager Ronald Koeman join Everton while power house midfielder Victor Wanyama join Tottenham for a loss.

According to Liverpool, Mane has completed a medical at Liverpool and has signed a contract.

Mane said: “Today is a big day and I am very happy to sign for one of the biggest clubs in Europe. It’s a club that has won a lot of trophies and has a big history.

“Now I am looking forward to meeting all the staff and my teammates and starting the season.”

Mane follows Loris Karius and Joel Matip, as well as Marko Grujic, in joining Jürgen Klopp’s squad ahead of the new season.
