Governor Ganduje and Senator Kwankwaso are now friends again.
Daily Trust gathered that the president gave the order following concern that the crisis may spread to other places and put the ruling party into trouble.
It was further gathered that in swift response to the president’s order, six governors of the APC from the North-west held a meeting in Abuja, on March 21 with Kwankwaso and Ganduje.
The meeting was attended by Zamfara state governor, Abdulaziz Yari; Nasir el-Rufa’i (Kaduna), Badaru Abubakar (Jigawa), Aminu Tambuwal (Sokoto), Aminu Masari (Katsina) and Atiku Bagudu (Kebbi).
The meeting, which reportedly commenced at about 9.pm, lasted till 3.am, after Governor Yari announced that the two Kano big shots had agreed to put aside their differences and work together.
Aminu Abdulsalam, the chief of staff to Kwankwaso, confirmed to newsmen that since relevant stakeholders have intervened in the matter, his boss had accepted to work with Ganduje.
Confirming the report also, Ganduje’s director general on media and communications, Malam Baba Halilu Dantiye, said the incumbent governor and his predecessor had resolved the issue.
The Nation reports that Ganduje, on March 17, while speaking with state house correspondents after meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari, stated that there is no more brawl with him and his predecessor, Kwankwaso. He said reconciliation efforts between them were already ongoing.
Just recently, Ganduje gave stunning revelation on what led to the row between him and his predecessor. The governor alleged that his former boss insulted him and his parents because he believed that his administration  has not met his expectations.
According to him, Kwankwaso started abusing him and his parents when he accompanied him to his car, accusing him of not continuing his legacies of free education, foreign trips and others.
