Jigawa Receives 1m Litres Of PMS, Says Gov. Badaru

Governor of Jigawa State, Muhammad Abubakar Badaru

Gov. Muhammmad Badaru of Jigawa on Friday said the state had received allocation of one million litres of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) also known as petrol this month, for distribution to filling stations.
Badaru disclosed this while speaking with newsmen in Dutse on measures taken to address fuel scarcity in the state.
He said that the Chairman of Petroleum Distribution Task Force in the state was working to ensure that the product was distributed to filling stations across the state and also sold at the approved pump price.

According to him, the PMS was allocated to the state by the Federal Government.
“The task force in the state is doing a wonderful job and I can assure you the product would be fairly distributed to ensure that motorists get it,” he said.
The governor dispelled rumours that in next few months, the state would not be able to pay workers’ salaries due to the decline in its monthly allocation from the Federation Account.
He said with the recent appreciation of price of crude oil, he was optimistic that the state’s allocation would henceforth improve. (NAN)
