IPOB stressed that it has always maintained non-violence stance and has not been involved in any crime or any form of violence .

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has commended the Niger Delta Avengers and the Red Egbesu Water Lions for the ultimatums issued to the federal government.
, the leader of IPOB, and the discharge of Sambo Dasuki, a former national security adviser, from custody.
Daily Post reports that IPOB hailed the militant groups in a statement issued by Emma Powerful, media and publicity secretary.
“First, the Niger Delta Avengers called for Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s release before, now it is the Egbesu Boys calling for the release of the leader of the indigenous people of Biafra Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.”
“This proves to the entire world that they are more Biafra than any other body.
“It is also to let the enemies of our common identity to get behind us and the Hausa Fulani and Yoruba divide and rule can never be in our midst again,” the statement read in part.
IPOB further stressed that it has always maintained non-violence stance and has not been involved in any crime or any form of violence.
“We are not going to be dragged by APC-led government to become violent but in any means, any group chooses to fight for his or her father land is allowed,” it said.
The group accused President Muhammadu Buhari and the federal government of witch-hunting political opponents by using the Department of State Services and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.
“Femi Fani-Kayode was arrested and detained since Monday last week without trial because he said the truth while his kinsmen Hausa Fulani and party members who steal trillions are there with the money they stole from the public funds,” it noted.
In a statement issued earlier this week,  that bear no arms.
Recalling that Buhari had even offered amnesty to members of the terrorists group, IPOB concluded that the “president has more sympathy for Boko Haram than the non-violent pro-Biafra groups.”
