Ecuador Quake Losses Could Be As High As $3bn

Rafael Correa says the 7.8 magnitude quake, which has claimed hundreds of lives, could hit Gross Domestic Product (GDP) by two or three percentage points.

Earlier, the government said the number of people killed by the tremor had risen to 413, with more than 2,500 injured.
