Wife of former US President Ronal Reagan dies at 94
Former actress and wife of former President Ronald Reagan, Nancy Reagan, who fiercely stood by her husband at every stage of his life and lived up to the marriage vows of “for better, for worse”dies today at age 94.
The former first lady was said to have stood fiercely with her husband throughout Hollywood career, eight years in the White House, an assassination attempt and his Alzheimer’s disease.
She died of congestive heart failure in her Los Angeles home, her representative Joanne Drake said in a statement
She is set to be buried next to her husband at Ronal Reagan presidential Library in Simi Valley next week.
Plans are been put in place to ensure members of the public pay their respects at the Library before the funeral.
Nancy, whose husband died in 2004, had appeared frail after suffering several falls in recent years. In May 2012 it was disclosed she had broken several ribs in a fall at her Los Angeles.
