Celebrating Nollywood stars at the just concluded African Magic Viewer’s Choice Awards (AMVCA) 2016, without taking a look at some of the best dressed Nigerian celebrities in attendance.

For some of them, it was not all about going home with an award  but was more about making fashion statements on the red carpet, celebrating their colleagues who would be winning awards and were ready to have loads of fun. Naij.com gathered list of top ten best Nigerian celebrities at AMVCA 2016.

1. MERCY AIGBE-GENTRY:

The beautiful mother of two surprised her fans on the red carpet. Mercy Aigbe was dressed in a ‘grey silver-stoned embellished flowing cape dress’ with silver shoes and red silver-studded purse. Aside from her dressed and makeup, Mercy Aigbe also made a fashion statement with her hair do. According to many, Mercy was rated the best dressed for the night.

2. FUNKE AKINDELE:

Funke Akindele has never let her fans down or failed to make heads stun on the red carpet. The comic actress who bagged one award for herself was dressed in a ‘cream and green fish-cut armless flowing gown.’ Aside her dress being embellished with ‘glittering-gold stones’, her makeup was also on point.

3. RITA DOMINIC:

The petite Nollywood actress never forgets to make fashion statements or has never stopped being a show stepper either while stepping on the red carpet or hanging out with friends. Rita who in previous years has bagged six awards at the AMVCA was dressed in a ‘green armless pencil gown with a long cape behind the gown’. Rita also had gold stones neatly designed on the under burst of her dress with gold shoes to compliment her looks.

4. OSAS AJIBADE:

Married to co-star on Tinsel Genro Ajibade, Osas aside being an actress is a model and she has never failed to stun heads on the red carpet despite her petite stature. At AMVCA, Osas who tried to keep her outfit simple without additional details on her dress was dressed in Teju Foyeh’s ‘strapless pink-ball long gown’ and had her makeup done by Doranne Beauty.

5. LILIAN ESORO-FRANKLIN:

In recent times, Lilian Esoro has been a show stopper. Lilian was dressed in a ‘yellow cape flowing gown’ with gold purse and jewelry to match the gold embellished neck of her dress. To make the beauty more pronounced, she had her hair parked all to the back. Lilian’s look won h heart of many.

6. MINNIE DLAMNI:

Minnie Dlamni

The beautiful and curvy South African co-host of the event, Minnie Dlamini can be categorized as one of the best dressed ladies if the night. The famous TV personality, slayed the red carpet in a ‘white off-shoulder’ custom piece from South African designer Gert Johan Coetzee, and also had lovely details on the tail of her gown.

7. STEPHANIE LINUS:

Former beauty queen and Nollywood star Stephanie who graced the red carpet with her husband was dressed in a glittering green gown designed by celebrity designer Lisa Folawiyo with butterfly details. She complimented her looks with silver long earrings and silver purse.

8. ADESUA ETOMI:

Fast rising Nollywood actress Adesua Etomi got one of the shockers of her life as she was announced AMVCA 2016, Best Actress. The young star was dressed in a ‘green alter-neck flowing gown’ and had an extra detail of a giant bow at the back of her dress.

9. CAROLINE DANJUMA:

Nollywood actress and billionaire wife Caroline Danjuma got the attention of her fans with her bum at the AMVCA 2016. Caroline was dressed in a ‘nude gold long gown.’

10. ANNA EBIERE BANNER:

Anna Banner

Former beauty queen and Flavour’s baby mama Anna Banner proved that she is a fashionista by slaying the red carpet in a ‘Tarik Ediz blue flowing dress with a lacy top’. She complimented her looks with a BCBG clutch, Jimmy Choo shoes and had her makeup done by Dave Sucre.
