This follows the deadlock reached at series of reconciliatory meetings being held at Abuja since the outbreak of the face-off between Kwankwaso and Governor Ganduje.
The Kano state governor who was in Abuja since last Wednesday 16/3/2016 at the instance of some influential personalities from Kano have been holding series of meetings in an efforts aimed at dousing the already tensed political atmosphere that envelop the state following the condolence visit by Senator Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso over the death of the Governor’s mother recently.
The SSG and accountant-general served Kwankwaso when he was the governor from 2011 – 2015 in their respective capacities and were retained by his successor Governor Abdullahi Ganduje.
Since the beginning of the political face-off between Senator Rabi’u Kwankwaso and Governor Ganduje, there continued stay in Office is viewed by Governor’s political associates as threat to his political survival in view of the sensitive positions they are currently occupying.
However and with sustain pressure from Governor’s camp for their immediate removal and replacement with “home boys” it will not be ruled out if the Governor will not accede their demands and show them the way out.
Already, there are strong indications to that effect at the SSG’s Office, were the electricity supply in the past 3 months was disconnected by Kano Electricity Distribution Company (KEDCO) due to non settlement of over N2 million debts.
The Office of the SSG which is the nerve center of all government activities now operates on Gen set a situation that is taking its toll on routine administrative activities.
With the wind of change and its after effects, that swept the State Party Chairman, Organizing Secretary and the Chief Whip out of Office occasioned by the political crises between Senator Rabi’u Kwankwaso and the State Governor, there are strong tendency that Governor Abdullahi Ganduje will sack the two prominent Kwankwasiyya men and replaced them with his close allies so as to restore Government confidence in the respective Offices and appease his kitchen cabinet.
Meanwhile, Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has said his government acquired a liability of N2.6 billion in fees and bursary from the Kwankwaso government.
