Dele Momodu finally reveals reasons why he forgave Davido after abuses

Dele Momodu has discussed the issue between him and pop star Davido in a recent interview saying he expected the singer to abuse him.

The Ovation publisher went on to state that he sees Davido as his son as a result he has let everything slide. 

On the remix of the HumbleSmith song Osinachi, the singer made reference to a Dubai trip which allegedly caused the scuffle between him, Sophia and Dele Momodu in early 2016, a clear indication that things went out of hand between all the parties involved.

But Mr. Momodu has revealed in an exclusive with City People magazine that him and the Adelekes are like family, adding that he is friends with Davido’s father.

The publisher explained that Davido felt he was supporting Sophia (his cousin with whom the singer has a child) hence his actions.

He also blamed the devil for everything, adding that all he wanted was for peace to reign.

He said: “I saw the thriller for few seconds before that but I never bothered to go out of my way to watch it as I actually thought he was abusing me and I expected him to abuse me but when someone is like your son, you just have to let it pass. Whether we like it or not, we are like family. His Dad and I have known each other like forever. The devil is a liar, when good things are happening, the devil will want to come in between it and all. I saw it on-line first as people were tweeting about it and I initially said, well, he is abusing me, no problem. You know several times in the past, he will attack me and apologize. I understand how he feels, he feels I am supporting my cousin against him and that is not it. All I wanted was just peace and I am happy we got it.”

On the current state of things between both families, Momodu said stated that everyone is fine.

He added that all he wanted was for the Adelekes to acknowledge Sophia Momodu as the mother of the child.

He also lauded Davido’s father calling him a ‘perfect gentleman’.

He said: Everybody is fine, all we wanted was just for them to acknowledge the mother of the baby and I have to say that Davido’s father was a perfect gentle man. What usually happened was that some people will go to them and tell them something and still come to us to feed us too.  People just wanted trouble at all cost but God prevailed.”

Recall that Davido, Sophia Momodu and Dele Momodu made the headlines in January 2016 over several claims and counter claims revolving around the custody of baby Imade.

In an extensive post released on Sunday January 3, Davido claimed he never had plans to marry Sophia Momodu, but just needed to take responsibility of the situation after a DNA test confirmed that he is the biological father of Imade, the baby named after his late mother.

A source then told Naij.com that the major reason Davido swore to high heavens not to marry Sophia was because he met her in club, and she is a core ‘street girl’. It was also reported that she was not ready to change her habits, continuing even after she had started a relationship with the musician.

“It was just meant to be one of those casual sexes you have with any club girl. But due to his (Davido) negligence, the lady got pregnant. The truth is that no man would want to marry such girl, not even when she is not ready to change for the better,” our source said.

It was also reported that on several occasions, Sophia would sneak out of the apartment rented for her by Davido, leave her few months old baby with the Nanny, and go clubbing with her friends.

It was gathered that though Davido had been getting information about his baby mama’s alleged escapades, he pretended not to be bothered until the day the management of Escape Nightclub brought a bill of N250,000 incurred in one night by Sophia and her friends to him.

His refusal to offset the bill was the genesis of his crisis with Sophia, followed by Imade’s alleged lungs illness, among other things
