The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has raised an alarm over alleged plans by the dreaded Boko Haram sect to exterminate Biafrans.
According to the pro-Biafran group, the insurgents were disguising as Fulani herdsmen and are determined to kill them, Daily Sun reports.
In a statement by its media and publicity secretary, Emma Powerful, the group asked Igbos to stop eating Fulani cows and not patronize the herdsmen.
The statement read: “We in the IPOB worldwide are calling on all Biafrans to stop eating Fulani cows and stop patronizing them. They will leave our land and stop raping our women and girls and they will stop killing our men because of our wives and girls.
“Our intelligence report discovered that those cattle rearers were not ordinary people but Boko Haram who were well equipped. We are calling on Biafrans to begin to eat goat meat, chicken and fish. Again, all Biafrans should start rearing our local cows, we have it at Abakaliki in Ebonyi state, Nsukka in Enugu state and Obudu ranch in Calabar, Cross River state in abundance.”

Meanwhile, wife of Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of IPOB and director of radio Biafra,Uchechi Okwu-Kanu said the continued detention of her husband is a motivation for new Biafra agitation.
Also speaking, Powerful said the group will never stop its turbulence until Kanu, their leader is released and Biafra effectuated.
