The current events in the country has had its citizens groaning; fuel scarcity, the fall of the naira in teh foreign exchange markets etc. NAIJ.com caught up with comedian Bovi at the ongoing Nigerian Entertainment Conference where he asked for patience from Nigerians to allow government implement its plans and agenda for the country.
He said: “I think they need time. Every government has issues like this when they are just starting out. There are always strong and weak points of setting up government. There is no government we’ve had that people don’t complain in Nigeria so it is all part of democracy. I believe they really deserve to be given time. I don’t think anyone goes into government with the sole intention to make his people suffer.”
He also gave his opinion on the celebrity beefs that has rocked the entertainment scene since the beginning of 2016, the latest being the drama between Linda Ikeji and Wizkid.
He said: “Yeah, I don’t understand too. Everyone seems to be coming for each other. The year started with beefs, let’s keep enjoying it and hope by 2017 it will be something else. I don’t have much to say on that.”
