After Suarez gave the advantage to Barcelona over Atletico and Arturo Vidal’s goal made the difference for Bayern against Benfica, the Champions League continues today with two more exciting games. Manchester City will make the trip to Paris to take on Paris Saint-Germain as VfL Wolfsburg will welcome Real Madrid.
Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart will be available for selection against PSG while Yaya Toure and Raheem Sterling will both be sidelined with heel and groin injuries respectively. City, who are in the Champions League quarter-finals for the first time are burdened today with overcome PSG, who have reached this stage of the competition in four successive seasons. Coach Pellegrini however says his charges are a match for the French title holders. “We are not coming to Paris to draw 0-0. We’ll play our usual way,” he said. “Both teams have a chance to continue to the next stage and that chance is 50-50 for each team.”
Manager Zinedine Zidane has said his Real Mdrid team are solely focused on Wolfsburg as the hard fought win against Barcelona has already been forgotten. Zizou and his charges have promised to go to Wolfsburg and play like it’s a final. “We cannot relax. We are not untouchable and Wolfsburg are able to hurt us,” said Zidane. Wolfsburg have fought hard and deserve to be here. It will be a tough match but we are well prepared.”
