Balotelli set to return to the English Premier League

– Balotelli is poised to return to Anfield
– The player has been far from impressive for AC Milan
There are indications that Mario Balotelli may likely return to Liverpool after AC Milan chief executive Adriano Galliani claimed the player is not meeting expectations.
The 25-year-old Italy international is on a season-long loan deal at the San Siro and has scored just three goals in 17 appearances.

According to Galliani, Ballotelli needs to convince the club management he is ready to play for the club otherwise he would be returned to his parent club.
Galliani said: “We really like Mario, but he has to convince us to earn a permanent deal.
“Mario is feeling well. He is desperate to stay here at Milan. But like I have said before, he does not merit a permanent deal at the moment.”
The striker once played at the San Siro based club between 2013 and 2014 where he scored 26 goals in 40 appearances before moving to Liverpool.
It would be recalled that Balotelli struggled for form in his first season at Anfield and returned to Milan on loan last summer.
Meanwhile, Liverpool football club of England have secured a vital away goal in the first leg of the quarter-final of the Europa League against Borussia Dortmund at the Signal Iduna Park in Germany
The Reds dominated the early stages of the encounter and were rewarded with the vital away goal when Divock Origi fired home in the 35th minute to open the score sheet, as the teams went into the break with the hosts trailing 0 – 1.
Like a wounded lion, Dortmund returned from the break firing from all cylinders and were rewarded with a goal three minutes into the second half when Mats Hummels drew his team level.
Jurgen Klopp’s men came close on several occasions to getting the winner but goalkeeper Roman Weidenfeller was outstanding to deny the visitors a vital away win. It ended Dortmund 1 – 1 Liverpool.
